Don’t miss the opportunity!

Bharatanatyam is one of the Indian classical dance forms and has its origins in the temples and courts of Southern India. It is an art of dance and music for the body, mind and soul. Now performed and practiced all over the world, Bharatanatyam has a very well developed structure of physicality and expressive lyricism. A strong component of footwork helps in rhythm training and to develop musicality in movement. Group classes include warm-up based on yoga, strong training in Nritta (pure dance) and Abhinaya (acting or expressive technique), and are suitable for all age groups.

Kalari Ppayattu, from Kerala, India, is considered one of the oldest martial arts in the world; also called the “mother of martial arts.” The story goes that along with Buddhism, the Indian martial art traveled from India to rest of Asia. The form teaches us a way of life that is holistic and introspective. It encompasses physical training inspired by animal movements, yoga-like breathing techniques and meditation, core strengthening, weapon work, physical therapy and bodywork. Kalari training is beneficial for people of all walks of life to develop strength, flexibility, confidence, focus, and a healthy mind/body. This class is suitable for all age groups.

Mohini Aattam is a well-known classical dance from Kerala, India. It is an elegant form, rich in graceful movements and facial expressions.

Yoga is a physical and spiritual discipline. With proper training, Yoga enables people from all walks of life to explore and experience life in a meaningful way. Dr. Sindhoor’s class engages in breathing techniques, stretch, strengthening, and meditation. This class is suitable for all age groups and experience.

Kuchupudi is one of the Indian classical dances. Kuchupudi is known for fast-paced rhythms and energetic movements.

Indian Folk Dance Folk dances are an integral part of many communities in India. Kolata (stick dances,) Kamsale, Bhangra, and other fun dances are taught.

Bollywood Dance Very popular dance of India. Influenced by Indian films, it is a good workout and fun to learn.
